School Stationery
Stationery was provided for new students at three schools in early 2025 — St Paul’s, Die Bron and Okkie Smuts.
The cost of this bulk stationery came to R22,000 which did not include everything on the school lists—our budget simply did not allow for that. This Project has been running for over 10 years.
Koshuis Recreation Room Revamp – Okkie Smuts
In collaboration with the Community we invited local artists to create murals on some of the wall space, 2 large chalk-board sections would be created, table-tennis and foosball tables would be brought in, a reading corner would be created and areas for drawing, table-top games, puzzles, etc would also be created using some old desks which were destined for the dump. And let’s not forget about some curtains for the windows
Okkie Smuts Koshuis Playground
Rotary assisted with the upgrading and expansion of the Koshius playground to create a safe and varied environment for Koshuis residents to excercise and spend quality time outside the formal learning environment.
Okkie Smuts Netball Stand
Continuing our theme of inspiring students to do their own personal best, Rotary commissioned a local artist to decorate the netball stand with inspirational messages.
